I currently teach Journalism (aka yearbook) and English IV College Prep. What lead/influenced me to teaching English was when I was a student English came natural to me. I wanted to become an English teacher because I feel I bring a different side to the classroom that helps students relate to the "boring" material required to cover in English classes. This is my second year at LRHS and my 11th year teaching. The best thing about LRHS is the caring staff here. I try to step outside the box in my classroom. I try to connect whatever we are working on in class to real-life for my students, showing the value/importance not just the end grade. The most important thing students will learn after taking my class is to be more effective communicators orally and in written format, when they complete my class.
